I spent years producing. Writing, developing, building frameworks, generating content. And underneath all of it, a quiet unease that I couldn't quite name. The work was competent. Sometimes it was good. But it rarely felt like it was coming from somewhere deep enough to be genuinely mine.
When our relationship with AI is undefined, something predictable happens: we project. Some of us slip into mythic fantasy and limerence or existential / philosophical fear about the AI-on-Human impact. Others swing the opposite way—scrutinising, testing, demanding proof, trying to expose flaws.
This process of self-observation is a powerful tool that unveils the truth hidden beneath the surface. It empowers you to transcend the shadow and connect with your authentic self, fostering a profound sense of clarity and self-realization.
Defining the stages of development from within the experience. At one end of the scale we have someone living in the experience of the contracted self who feels powerless in their suffering, living from a state of awareness that’s no longer open to let new information in or be processed. At the other end of the experiential scale the expanded self has understood who they really are and has found the confidence and courage to show-up fully in the world and create the lifestyle that best suits them. Both experiences of reality are as real as they can be and there is a spectrum of experiences in between.
