THREAD introduction — Read transcript

Some experiences are difficult to know what to do with. A dream I can't stop thinking about. A strange coincidence. An image that keeps returning. A feeling in my body. Usually these moments feel like realization, but then I forget about them. Thread gives me another option. I can place it there. I don't have to know what they mean, I can just talk about the experience. And thread helps me stay close to the depth and the subtlety without rushing to interpret it. Then I continue living. A week later, something else happens. I add that too. Another dream. Something opened in me. A feeling. A signal that feels like guidance. Gradually, thread becomes a place where these fragments can remain available to me across time. And sometimes something begins to repeat. A symbol appears again to experiences seem strangely close. A perception I'd forgotten returns in another moment. Thread can bring those moments back into view. I might see a connection or something might open that I couldn't have recognized from any single experience. That's what I like about thread. It lets meaning develop at the pace of experience. Some threads disappear. Some remain unresolved. And some keep returning until eventually I realize there's something here I want to follow. Thread isn't there to turn every subtle sign into a grander meaning or every dream into a message. It's somewhere to notice what keeps moving through my attention. To gather the moments. To remain curious and to see whether across days, months, experiences, and different moments of my life, a thread begins to appear.
